WiloStar3D Academy is a live, teacher-led online school built around immersive learning experiences for neurodiverse students
Learning Happens Inside the Experience — With Teachers Leading the Way
At WiloStar3D Academy, immersive learning is not an add-on or enrichment activity. It is the core learning environment. Students learn through live, teacher-led experiences inside our 3D virtual universe called Wiloworlds, where instruction, interaction, and creativity come together every school day. WiloStar3D Academy is a live, teacher-led online school where immersive learning takes place inside shared 3D environments.
Rather than watching lessons passively or completing worksheets in isolation, students participate in daily live class meetings and live Study Hall sessions where teachers guide learning in real time. Academic instruction is intentionally designed to support this immersive experience — making learning more engaging, meaningful, and accessible for neurodiverse learners.
Immersion comes first.
Curriculum is designed to support the learner within that experience.
What This Means at WiloStar3D
Immersive learning at WiloStar3D means students are active participants in our shared learning environment every day — not independent users of a self-paced program.
Students:
- Attend live class meetings led by WiloStar3D teachers
- Participate in live Study Hall sessions inside our private Wiloworlds Learning Metaverse
- Interact with teachers and classmates in real time
- Learn concepts through guided discussion, exploration, and creative problem-solving
- Apply learning by building interactive 3D projects, such as Knowledge Towers, historical environments, and story-based worlds
This is a teacher-led school, not a parent-directed curriculum.
Teachers are present throughout the day to guide instruction, answer questions, and support students as they learn and build.

Why This Works So Well for Neurodiverse Learners
Many neurodiverse students struggle in traditional or purely online learning environments that rely heavily on passive listening, abstract instruction, and delayed feedback.
Immersive learning addresses these challenges by:
- Providing real-time engagement and immediate support
- Anchoring learning in visual, spatial, and hands-on experiences
- Reducing cognitive overload by placing learning in meaningful context
- Supporting focus, motivation, and emotional regulation
- Allowing students to demonstrate understanding in multiple ways
By learning inside an environment designed for interaction and creativity, students are more likely to stay engaged, build confidence, and experience success.
What This Looks Like Day to Day
A typical day at WiloStar3D blends live instruction, guided exploration, and creative application:
- Students join live class meetings where teachers introduce concepts, lead discussions, and set learning goals.
- During live Study Hall sessions in Wiloworlds, students work alongside teachers and peers, ask questions, and receive guidance in real time when it’s need.
- There is a good blend of interactive experiences and self-directed learning and time which helps foster independence and responsiblity.
- Students expand on their learning by building 3D projects that demonstrate understanding — such as interactive Knowledge Towers, virtual exhibits, or narrative worlds.
- Web-based lessons and readings support immersive work by providing structure, guidance, and opportunities for reflection.
Learning flows between the virtual world and the web-based dashboard — always guided by teachers, never left for students or parents to manage alone. Read our Typcial Day at WiloStar3D Academy for a more detailed schedule.
